Other:

In 20223 Achim was one of the early foundation members of the German association for Interim Managers (Dachgesellschaft Deutsches Interim Management - www.DDIM.de) and actively contributed to develop and establish Interim Management as a recognized profession within Germany and Czech Republic. Between 2005 and 2008 was member of the board of the DDIM and influenced significantly the definition of IM as a profession in Germany.

Back in the 1980s he was a competitive ballroom dancer. Up to today he still is one of the most successfull sportman in Germany and won several national and international championships including world championships in Ballroom Formation Dancing and was decorated with the German "Silbernes Lorbeerblatt", the highest sports recognition in Germany.
